I recently moved to NM from the East Coast. Jim Shive was recommended by my soon to be work supervisor.
Jim was phenomenal to work with. He took care of everything from taking me around town looking at homes, to price negotiation, and he even completed the final buyer's inspection on my behalf. He paid attention to every detail. I'm not sure I ever had to call him; because he was calling me first, with any and every development.
Moving long distance is a tough and stressful process, especially when making a home purchase too. In my case, the home purchase was a piece of cake, thanks to Jim.
The nicest thing was the fact that he actually remembered the date when my daughter and I were to arrive in town (4 weeks AFTER closing). My phone was ringing literally right after we walked off the plane. It was Jim, welcoming us to NM.
Ours unexpectedly became a very complex transaction half way through the process. Jim had to deal with a whole set of variables that required an unbelievable amount of extra effort, knowledge and time - not to mention a very challenging buyer. Jim took on each step of the process without hesitation and closed a sale that I started to think would be impossible (and I’d been in real estate sales and lending most of my life). Jim went above and beyond and was always responsive no matter how crazy things got. I couldn’t recommend him enough.

I called Jim to seek his professional advice on preparing my home to sell. Jim was very responsive, he researched the market in the area and assisted me in establishing a fair price for my home. We both came up with a price independent of each other and were both on the same price range and quickly moved forward. Jim took excellent photos of the interior and exterior of the house, provided a comprehensive description of the highlights of the house. We put up the For Sale sign on Friday afternoon and we had a firm offer w/in five days. Everything worked out smoothly with no issues. We were very pleased with Jim's services.
