McCall's Pumpkin Patch

McCall's Pumpkin Patch is a seasonal attraction that draws in thousands of Albuquerque families every year. You and your kids can: 

  • Navigate the massive 16-acre corn maze 
  • Pet farm animals at the petting zoo 
  • Slide down a giant slide 
  • Play a round of paintball 
  • Shoot apple cannons 
  • Ride a miniature train 
  • Dig for treasures in a recreated gem mine  

The patch is open from 12 PM to 6 PM on Fridays and from 10 AM to 6 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets cost $21.99 on Fridays and $24.99 on weekends and include admission to most activities. Some activities require the purchase of an additional punch card.  

Galloping Goat Pumpkin Patch 

Address: 3001 Civic Center Circle NE, Rio Rancho, NM 87144 

Rio Rancho's Galloping Goat Pumpkin Patch has everything you need for a fun and family-friendly outing this fall. Little ones will love circling the tricycle track, exploring the playhouses, and playing chef in the mud pie kitchen. Older kids will enjoy challenging themselves with games of putt-putt golf, pumpkin bowling, and football toss.  

The patch is open daily from 9 AM to 6 PM. Tickets cost $9.99 for children, $11.99 for adults, and $10.99 for seniors and military personnel. Additional fees apply for some activities.  

Day of the Tread 

Address: 1909 Bellamah Avenue NW, Albuquerque, NM 87104 

Day of the Tread is Albuquerque's annual Day of the Dead-themed cycling fundraiser in support of the city's many charities and non-profit organizations. Participants of any age can sign up to bike anywhere from 6 to 100 miles, enjoying themed recharge stations along the way and a costume contest at the end.   

The event kicks off on the 25th with the off-road Gravel Grinder challenges before continuing with the standard challenges on the 26th. Not a cyclist? There's also a 4K fun walk happening at 10 AM on the event's second day. Registration fees vary depending on the course you select, with discounts available for riders under 15 years old. 

Boo at the Zoo 

Address: 903 10th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102 

Each year during Boo at the Zoo, the ABQ BioPark Zoo is transformed into a spooky wonderland. This Halloween event features: 

  • Educational activities 
  • Crafts 
  • Celebratory games 
  • Face painting and colored hairspray application 
  • A trick-or-treating trail that takes kids past all of the most popular animal exhibits 

Some of the exhibits will even be given spooky makeovers to suit the theme.  

This year's event will take place on October 25th from 9 AM to 5 PM. Tickets must be purchased in advance and cost $15 for adults or $10 for kids aged 3 to 12. Children aged two and under are admitted free of charge. All proceeds support the zoo's conservation efforts. 

Cabezon Community Center Frightful Feast 

Address: 2307 Cabezon Boulevard SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124 

The Cabezon Community Center will be holding its annual Frightful Feast event from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM on October 25th. Kids who visit will get to enjoy Halloween treats, crafts, and trivia while surrounded by fun seasonal music and decorations. Wearing a costume is encouraged but not mandatory. Tickets cost $15 per person, and young kids must be accompanied by a ticket-holding parent. Space is limited, so you must register in advance to attend.
